Next... Two Inspiring Female Role Models!

Dede has been on many mission trips through First Presbyterian Church. She keeps saying that every trip will be her last, but we are so pumped that we convinced her to come (even though it didn't take much convincing)! Dede is our Children's Choir Director at First Pres. and is great with children. In previous years Dede has been part of the Swimming Venue, but this year we found her a better fit for the Olympic Village Venue! She will get to spend all week making arts and crafts with the children, as well as singing with all of them! Dede also acts as our comic relief when things don't go as we plan! We are so excited to have such an artistic, caring, and funny woman joining us again this year! Dede we know you are going to do great!

Kim and her husband Zach were supposed to be venturing to JASY together; however Zach could not make it. We expect both of you to come in two years together! Kim is a Nurse Practitioner... I know we scored big getting her on the trip! Kim shows a lot of compassion for other people and we think she is going to be a great role model for the youth. Kim also is a leader, which is why we placed her as a Yellow Team Sports Ambassador, as well as the Leader of the Sports Ambassadors. She will do a fantastic job at leading and bonding with the Yellow Team, as well as instructing the rest of the Sports Ambassadors. Being a Sports Ambassador requires you to be a role model, grow close to the campers, and show them the love and attention that they may not recieve elsewhere. You are the closest volunteers to the campers because you spend every day with the same campers. Being a Sports Ambassador is a special task, but one that requires a level of love and compassion, as well as leadership skills. We know for your first trip we are giving you a lot of responsibilities, but we know you are the perfect person for the job! Kim we are so excited to have you join us! Zach, you will be missed!
