Dan Traina is a returning volunteer from JASY 2013! He has really fallen in love with the mission of JASY and the experience as a whole. He has recently joined the JASY Board in order to continue to help this mission thrive. Dan has also been a member of the JASY Planning Team, who have helped to get our volunteers ready for this years camp! In 2013, Dan helped our Football expert, Horace, in the Football Venue. (Now for those of you who are not aware, we mean Soccer when we say Football!) Here Dan is on the right with Horace planning and discussing how to have the best camp! Dan will be joining Horace again on the Football Field for the 2015 camp! We are so excited to have Dan back once again! He is a joy to have at camp as well as a calming presence during stressful situations. Joining Dan will be his son, Gabe, and his soon to be stepdaughter, Jessica. Dan and Gabe have been on several mission trips together, including one to Kenya and several throughout the United States.
Here Gabe is helping to establish rebar at an orphanage construction site in Kenya! Gabe you are a man of many talents! Gabe Traina is a swimming expert! He swam in High School and in College. It seems fitting that he would be aw member of the Swimming Team Venue this year at camp! He will be great at teaching the children how to swim! Gabe has never been to JASY before, but is anxious to have another mission experience with his Father, and get to spend time with many of the Jamaican youth! Gabe, you have such a caring and loving soul and we know that you are going to be an amazing asset to the team throughout the week!
Jessica will be our youngest volunteer this year! Jessica is finishing up eighth grade at Allendale Columbia High School. She has never been on a mission trip before and is very excited! Jessica will be a Yellow Team Sports Ambassador during the 2015 camp. She is excited to learn about Jamaica and the culture! Jessica we know you are going to bring a fresh perspective to JASY and will be a great member of the team! We also can't imagine having anyone else lead us in our Closing Ceremonies Dance! Dan, Gabe, and Jessica, we know this is going to be an amazing experience for you all to have with one another! You all are going to be such fantastic additions to our team!
