Today we had a team of 9 drive from Pittsford, NY up to Lake Ontario to meet 4 crucial members of the JASY team in order to pack our bags to take to Jamaica. Now, I bet you all are thinking that it is way too early to pack for Jamaica! Well... it is, but not for the stuff we were packing. What many people do not know is that we transport almost all of our materials every year to Jamaica (with the crew who leaves from New York) and then whatever we reuse or don't use we take back with us. So, all of those materials needed to be packed, and believe me there is a lot of stuff to bring. We packed swimsuits, goggles, waterbottles, soccer balls, basketballs, soccer goals, t-shirts, water containers, and so much more! By the end we had 32 or 33 (I can't say for sure) bags packed fully, labeled correctly, and weighed. The best part was we managed to do all of this in just under 3 hours, and then we got to enjoy a lovely meal prepared by the McEneanys. Thank you to everyone who came out to help! We could not have done it with out you! A special thanks to Keith for keeping us so organized and every bag under 50 lbs! Until next time folks! See ya lata Mon!
