Let's meet our first group of volunteers... The Thompson Family

The Thompson Family will be returning for JASY Camp 2015. In 2013 Tom, Louise, and Erin made their first trip to Kingston. Paige had been once before in 2009. This trip will be the family's second and Paige's third. Tom and Louise have put in a tremendous amount of time and energy to make this years Volunteer Team and Camp one of the best. They couldn't be more thrilled to lead this team of volunteers to Kingston. JASY was Tom and Louise's first mission trip experience and they couldn't have asked for a better one!

Paige just finished her senior year at the University of Pittsburgh and will be receiving a Bachelors of Science in Molecular Biology, as well as minors in Religious Studies and Chemistry. What does Paige have planned after graduation? Paige is planning on pursuing a career in Medicine, and will be attending Medical School this year at the University at Buffalo. Erin is about to start her third year at the Pennsylvania State University. She is studying Accounting and recently has secured a position in the MAC program, which will give her a Masters of Accounting after her fifth year.

As we mentioned earlier, Paige has participated in JASY in 2009 and 2013. Her first trip was when she was only 16 years old and she was one of our Red Team Ambassadors. She admits that this trip was more fun than it was work, but we like to think JASY is that kind of a mission trip! In 2013 she returned, and she was not alone... This year Paige accompanied her entire family to JASY. We liked to call it a "Thompson Affair". This was their first mission trip together. Louise was the venue leader for Olympic Village, Tom was the venue leader for Caribbean Games with Paige at this side, and Erin was the Yellow Team Sports Ambassador.

This year, Louise will be heading Olympic Village, and Tom and Paige will be running Caribbean Games. Erin is returning as a Red Team Sports Ambassador. Every member of the Thompson Family is ecstatic to put on an amazing camp for 150 deserving kids. We are so excited to have the Thompson Family back! Good luck guys and thank you for all the work you have put into to JASY 2015!
